About Us
Bambú Lab was founded in 2022 as a laboratory for research, design, and construction with bamboo in Panama.
We aim to demonstrate that this material can transform the way we inhabit the tropics — connecting local knowledge, innovation, and sustainability.
Today, we are a network of architects, students, and artisans creating living architecture with social and ecological impact.
Our Pillars
At Bambú Lab Panama, we move with purpose. Here we share our three guiding pillars — the foundation of everything we do.
Sustainability: We design and build with bamboo to regenerate the environment and reduce ecological impact.
Synergy: We connect disciplines, people, and territories to create shared and sustainable solutions.
Sense of Belonging: We work with communities and local knowledge to strengthen identity and collective learning.

We are a collective of architects, designers, and researchers who believe in the value of local materials.
Each member brings their own perspective to the lab — from research and design to fieldwork, teaching, and community engagement.
We are united by one conviction: bamboo can transform the way we inhabit the tropics.
