Pavilion: Transversal Festival

Living laboratory of collaboration, learning, and community

Punto de Encuentro:

In response to the lack of educational and cultural spaces in rural Panama, Punto de Encuentro proposes a place for collaboration and learning where the community builds while it learns. Through the use of bamboo and earth as local materials, the project demonstrates that architecture can also become a living classroom — a bridge between knowledge systems and a tool to regenerate the territory.

Bambú Lab took part in the first Transversal Festival of Architecture and Design in Panama, promoting spaces of encounter between design, community, and experimentation.Through workshops, open mics, and the construction of the main bamboo pavilion, the collective activated a collaborative process that turned architecture into dialogue, learning, and celebration.
